Any experience with SikaFlex vs Geocel for external expansion joints?

Pointing up some external brickwork on a 1970s house and there are some large expansion joints that need a flexible sealant rather than mortar. I've used both SikaFlex-11FC and Geocel Trade Mate before but the Geocel seemed to skin too quickly on a warm day. Anyone got a preference for external masonry work?

For external masonry expansion joints I always use SikaFlex PRO-3 — it's specifically designed for that application and has excellent UV and movement resistance. The trick with any of these products in warm weather is to work in the shade or early morning. Pre-wet the joint faces with a damp sponge and it buys you a bit more working time.

Both products have a relatively short design life because they harden with age. I would always recommend CT1 even though it is more expensive.
